1. How are the bricks delivered?
In most instances our bricks are delivered on pallets in quantities of 500 per pallet. For most Sydney metropolitan deliveries, a Fork truck will deliver the brick pallets. The truck has a capacity of 6 pallets or 3000 bricks per load, or with the dog trailer can deliver an additional 6 pallets or a total of 6000 bricks.
2. How much do the bricks weigh if I drive to the yard and pick them up myself?
Generally solid dry pressed bricks weigh 4 kg. each and extruded bricks weigh 3 kg. each.
3. How do I know how many bricks I need to order?
The easiest way to answer this question is to convert the job you are doing into square meters. The length(m) x width(m) = square meters. When using our bricks for paving, you require 40 bricks per square meter. When using our bricks for face walls, retaining walls, etc, you require 50 bricks per square meter single course.
4. What is the lead time for receiving your bricks?
This obviously varies depending on demand and or short notice cancellations of orders, but generally we can deliever Sydney Metro within several days from time of order.
5. Is there a minimum order quantity?
We are happy to sell you one brick or thousands, little jobs are important to us also.
6. How do I match my bricks?
Working off of actual brick samples from your job is the best way to match your bricks. If you have several loose bricks, bring them in to The Brick Pit and our experienced staff will help you match them. A second method is by using a good photographs. Take digital photos in good light of approximately 1 Sq. Meter of wall space in the picture frame, and a 2nd photo close-up containing only 2-3 bricks in the picture frame and email them to us using our contact details within this website. Please note our brick matching via this method is only as good as the quality of photos provided. |
